Chlorine dioxide and viruses

Some customers are currently asking whether chlorine dioxide would also oxidise corona viruses. And in fact there is a study that already proved this in 2005. This one I found HERE .

The persistence (i.e. the resistance of compounds to their degradation) of the severe acute respiratory syndrome associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV) was observed in faeces, urine and water. Furthermore, the inactivation of SARS-CoV2 in wastewater with chlorine dioxide was also investigated.
*
Experiments “in vitro” (i.e. outside an organism) showed that the virus could only remain stable for two days in hospital wastewater, domestic wastewater and dechlorinated tap water (i.e. tap water that is free of chlorine).

What does the study say?

According to this study, even a small chlorine dioxide dose of only 2.19 milligram per litre will be effective to inactivate the virus. This corresponds to a converted quantity of only 0.00219 gramm/liter. A chlorine dioxide solution, such as CDH3000, contains up to 3 gram per liter. So this is a multiple of what is needed.

It can therefore be assumed that a chlorine dioxide solution can be used to inactivate the corona virus in water and drinking water. Therefore, drinking water disinfection with CDH3000 or chlorine dioxide from the chlorine dioxide Set to self-activate, obviously a sure thing.
