Natao Himalaya salt is an ancient salt.
This world-famous salt is of natural quality. It is free of additives and trickle aids. Also ideal for crisis prevention….
The estimated age of this salt is over 200 million years. A natural heritage of the primordial sea. An army of Alexander the Great once discovered the deposits. That’s why we also call it “Alexander’s Salt”.
This natural salt is well protected from environmental influences and pollution of the modern world. It’s hidden under rocks. The salt lies at a depth of up to 600 metres. At the time of its creation, today’s environmental pollution did not yet exist. In addition, Himalayan salt is mined without chemicals. It is therefore considered to be particularly pure. The salt consists of uniform large salt crystals compared to the relatively small salt crystals of sea salt. In the formation of salt rock, the minerals of the primeval ocean at that time determine its constituents. Since the discovery of this salt, it has been gently mined by hand. The largest mining area is about 250 km from the Himalayas in Pakistan. However, from a geographical point of view it belongs to the Himalayan region. Critics say the name would be misleading because the Himalayan salt would be mined in a different mountain range.
Comparison to sodium chloride “table salt
Although the Himalayas contain up to 98% of the usual sodium chloride, the mining methods guarantee particularly high purity and freedom from environmental toxins. This is the main difference to sea salt. Himalayan salt is therefore free from parts of micro-plastics, petroleum or other undesirable trace elements. The 2% of trace elements in the Himalayan salt, however, definitely have a health-promoting effect. The iron oxide, which can be recognised by the beautiful red colour of this salt, is said to have a positive effect on the haemoglobin balance. As a bath additive, it nourishes the skin like the water of the primordial sea. It’s said to be one of the natural secrets of beauty.
In addition to iron content, calcium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, cobalt, fluoride and copper were detected in chemical analyses. Let’s give our fish only the best, because it is wonderful for saltwater aquariums.
