Water tester (conductance meter) TDS

TDS water tester, TDS meter – without batteries

It is suitable for testing the conductivity of water. The TDS water tester is very well suited for Camping, boat, caravan, long distance travel, outdoor and health!

This device is of high quality. It is also efficient and very precise. Its simple operation also stands out. With this device you have a favorable possibility for the measurement of your water.

Test your water yourself. Water is the most important food! At the touch of a button, you’ll know how my water is. Monitor your drinking water, your water filter, hydroponics, aquariums, food and coffee, bathing water, etc. with it. However, the TDS is not a pollutant measuring device.

What do you measure with the TDS?

This water tester (conductance meter) measures the proportion of salts, minerals and conductive substances in the water. The conductivity, then. Pure water, for example.B does not conduct electricity. This can be done from experiments in school lessons.

If you put two electricity electrodes in water, the water interrupts the flow of electricity. If you add salt to the water, it suddenly conducts the electricity. From this it can be seen that there are other substances in the water than just the pure water molecule. And this conductivity is tested by the water tester. The higher the value, the more foreign parts are contained in the water. From this one can derive the degree of purity of the water.

With this high-quality water tester (conductance measuring device) TDS you measure very efficiently and precisely the parts per million =
ppm.
That is, parts of a million parts. With regard to the measurement of water, it is therefore possible to determine how many substances, apart from the water molecules, are still in the water. From this it can be concluded how pure the water is. In the case of pure water from a reverse osmosis system, for example, the figure is 0 to 14 ppm. Water which has a very high value is not pure and you can taste it. Only free, pure water can carry and discharge other substances. If water is already filled with many other molecules, it cannot take anything with it. You wouldn’t want to rinse your dishes clean with dirty water. However, the TDS only measures the number of dissolved solids in the water that are conductive. It is therefore not a chemical analysis of water according to its exact ingredients. Therefore these are purely quantitative measurements. However, a lower value allows the rough conclusion that the water is better. Here you get to the user manual.

Technical data:

The measuring range is between 0-9990 ppm/mg/L. The temperature measuring range is between 0-50ºC. It is equipped with a temperature display. Switching on or off takes place automatically after 10 minutes. This saves battery power. The so-called Data-Hold-Function enables you to later reading of the value. This is important, for example, if you are measuring in areas where you cannot read the value during the measurement. With a measuring accuracy of ±2 % you are on the safe side.e For the power supply you still need 2 LR44 button cells (not included).
