Corona virus in drinking water
Such a Reverse osmosis plant can effectively remove almost all inorganic impurities from water, including substances and ions as small as those dissolved in water.
The pore size of the osmotic membrane is 0.0001 micron = 0.000 000 1 millimeter (!). It removes particles down to a size of 0.1 nm (nanometer). This is close to the water molecule and, most importantly, about 200 times smaller than the smallest known virus. The known viruses have a diameter of about 20 to 400 nanometers. The smallest bacteria have a diameter of about 400 nanometers.
This system therefore also reliably filters the corona virus from drinking water.
