Dieses Bentonit Pulver fein, naturbelassen von Natao stammt aus Deutschland. Es handelt sich um ein feines Pulver. Made in Germany. Es ist nicht gereinigt, sondern natürlich und daher sehr wertvoll.

Occurrence and origin
Bentonite is named after Fort Benton, Montana, in the USA. However, the bentonite offered here comes from deposits in Germany. The mining areas are located in eastern Upper Bavaria and Lower Bavaria. It is a rock consisting of a mixture of various clay minerals.

Components
The main component is montmorillonite, accounting for 60–80%. It has a high water absorption capacity and swells readily. It is formed through the weathering of volcanic ash. The internal surface area of a gram is 400-600 square metres. Ordinary clay has an internal surface area of just 2 square metres. That is why bentonite forms particularly valuable clay-humus complexes. It is therefore a great addition to compost too!

Areas of use
Bentonite is also used in civil engineering, amongst other things. For example, in building waterproofing and even in dyke construction. It also serves as a lubricant during the driving of tunnels and pipes, as well as when vibrating narrow-walled structures into place. Furthermore, it is used as a propping fluid in unsupported drilling. When extracting geothermal energy using ground-source heat pumps, the collector pipes in the ground are often surrounded by bentonite. The reason for this is that it binds the water and prevents the formation of cavities when it freezes. In addition, there are numerous other possible applications.

About electrical charge
Bentonite particles are negatively charged. This property gives them an exceptionally high capacity to adsorb positively charged substances. Positively charged substances include, for example, those that can be harmful and unhealthy to our bodies. These include: heavy metals, acids, pesticide residues, histamine and even radioactive particles. This means that other substances adhere to the surface of the fine natural bentonite powder of Natao and accumulate there. When you wash it away, they disappear with it.
