Seduction by paying in installments – one pays the bill

PayPal currently offers merchants installment payment for their customers. And that too with gender “:”innen 🤮 . Here again we have the diabolical seduction of convenience…

They write that I offer PayPal (I actually don’t like that either, as you know. But some stubbornly cling to the old rip-off system. And that’s despite the fact that I already offer the flash purchase, which is just as fast in the order processing).

As a result, my customers are automatically offered an installment payment with an APR for purchases between €99 and €5000.

Comment: I don’t like that at all, because it’s a seduction that pulls some people even more into the debt trap. Not to mention the glass one…

Now I should also enable my customers to finance over 3, 6, 12 or 24 months at 0% APR, free of charge. As a merchant, I am supposed to pay “only 6.75% additional fee per transaction”.

Comment: Aha, so someone pays the bill. Papal becomes more and more greedy, seduces people into a transparent existence and even demands money for it.

I can only warn again and again and hope that you also choose the purchase on account or the flash purchase with advance payment.
